Around trade shows, in training classrooms and on production floors world wide, the buzz is quality control. Converters agree that today's competitive business climate leaves no room for waste. So how does a packaging manufacturer keep tight controls on waste and efficiency, while constantly increasing turnaround pace and keeping customers happy? Quality control.

In a recent Packaging-Online.com survey, ISO certification topped respondents' usage of quality control programs. Other key programs that converters have initiated include lean manufacturing, Total Quality Management (TQM) and Statistical Program Control (SPC) or Statistical Quality Control (SQC).
