Mar. 13--"Don't mess with New Mexico" could become the newest catch phrase, a twist on the slogan Texas has used for years.
State Sen. Shannon Robinson, D-Albuquerque, says he is dead serious about following through with proposed legislation that would seek to have Texas "return" 603,485 acres of land that he believes rightly has belonged to New Mexico since its territorial days.
