New York -- Motivated by the sounds of a few Huskies yapping, the Syracuse Orange busted out of the Dog house.
The 16th-ranked Syracuse Orange alternately dominated and then barely held off the 12th-ranked Connecticut Huskies 67-63 in the semifinals of the Big East Tournament here at Madison Square Garden on Friday.
As if Syracuse needed any extra motivation against a Connecticut team that had swept the season series and blown out the Orange 88-70 in the regular-season finale just six days prior, the SU players overheard the Huskies talking in the Garden's hallway before taking the court.
