Mar. 15--BROWNSVILLE -- Bye, bye Boca Chica Tower. One of the city's tallest buildings is in the middle of a major transformation, starting with a complete renovation under new owners.
The five-story building on Boca Chica Boulevard and Simpson Street is being gutted and refurbished to house a Lone Star National Bank branch.
"The bank will give a fresh look to this area, and we're excited about this location because it is the heart of the city," said Bob Walker, the bank's executive vice president whose office will sit inside 2200 Boca Chica Boulevard.
