The Nigerian government is continuing with the downsizing of its landed-property portfolio in its erstwhile capital city of Lagos.

In a recent announcement, a list of 1,105 housing units for sale in the sought-after residential area of Ikoyi, was released. This is the second phase of an ongoing process that involves almost 6,000 addresses deemed surplus to requirements.

Though the procedures and guidelines for bidding were still sketchy at the time of going to press, they are expected to be nearly the same as those obtained in the first phase of public selling.
