Article: MIRANT PHILIPPINES GIVES US$924,000 FOR ELECTRIFICATION PROJECT.

MANILA, March 15 Asia Pulse - Mirant Philippines Foundation, a private firm engaged in electrification, will grant P50 million (US$924,000) for the implementation of electrification project in 50 deprived barangays within agrarian reform communities (ARCs) in the Luzon and the Visayas regions.

Department of Land Reform Secretary Rene C. Villa, Department of Energy Secretary Vicente S. Perez Jr. and Mirant Philippines president Edgardo A. Bautista signed the memorandum of agreement (MOA) for the project here on Friday.
