Hundreds of people bustled through the third floor of Syracuse University's Eggers Hall Monday to celebrate $10 million in federal appropriations for the newly named Daniel Patrick Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs.
"It's so moving," said Maura Moynihan, daughter of the late Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan. "It keeps him alive for me."
About 300 people started the celebration in the Eggers Hall atrium to mark the official dedication of the Moynihan Institute within SU's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. The federal money will establish an endowment for the institute, which used to be called ...
