FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. _ More than a dozen undocumented immigrants, including four reportedly from China, came ashore early Tuesday near the Palm Beach-Martin County line.
Around 6 a.m. someone saw four men and four women walking along County Line Road and notified the Martin County Sheriff's Department, said spokeswoman Sgt. Jenell Atlas.
"They were soaking wet," Atlas said.
Deputies took the eight people, who they learned were from Haiti, into custody without incident and turned them over to officers from the Border Patrol, Atlas said.
