Mar. 16--WATERFORD -- The family-owned ABCO Welding & Industrial Supply has acquired an Auburn, Mass.-based welding firm, broadening its reach into nearby Massachusetts.
The Waterford-based ABCO said Tuesday it acquired the business assets of North East Welding Supply Corp., which serves the Worcester, Mass., area. ABCO officials said the firm will continue to operate North East Welding's Auburn business location, which will become the 10th ABCO retail and distribution center within its tri-state service network of Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
