Mar. 17--OSAKA -- Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. said Thursday it will put on the market April 8 the D-snap, a mobile digital handset that can play music transferred from compact disks onto an SD card.
Unlike Apple Computer Inc.'s iPods that store music on a hard disk, the D-snap, measuring 7 centimeters by 2.2 cm by 1.4 cm, features a range of SD cards with memory capacities of up to 1 gigabyte.
An SD card is an ultra-thin memory storage device the size of a postage stamp.
