Business Audio Products Abound, But Analysts Are Unsure If Users Will Tune In
When Microsoft says it's serious about business audio, other computer companies listen. Since the release of Microsoft's Windows Sound System (add-in board and software for $289), personal computer and board makers alike are turning up the volume on products that add sound and voice capabilities to PCs.
Compaq, the first to integrate digital audio into certain Deskpro models, was also the first to bundle Microsoft's Windows Sound System software with these machines. A Microsoft official said many more bundling deals were pending at press time, but declined to name the ...
