How many people remember the Intel NLX design for desktop PCs? Not many, I'll wager. And now it seems possible it could gain a stablemate in the Hall of Forgotten Designs at the Museum of Over-Engineered Computers.
It was at the end of 2003 when Intel first showed me the BTX PC design, and I was distinctly underwhelmed. At the time, the company hinted that BTX systems would appear during the first half of 2004. But it was August before Gateway in the US launched a BTX range of business PCs.
