The leader of the state Senate says Central New York groups still waiting for pork barrel money promised last year shouldn't worry.
Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno said Friday the state will honor grants former Sen. Nancy Larraine Hoffmann, R-Fabius, promised to local organizations before her defeat in the November 2004 election.
Bruno's assurance came two days after he received a letter on the subject from the man who narrowly beat Hoffmann - and the man Bruno and his fellow Republicans hope to beat next year - Sen. David Valesky, D-Oneida.
