Pollution from China is undermining Hong Kong's (HK) air quality. The HK Government and Guandong agencies are collaborating to resolve a variety of pollution problems. A scheme to lower levels of four main air pollutants by 2010 has been devised. The private sector and foreign companies are being invited to take part in a new waste management strategy, in order to avert HK's looming landfill crisis.
