WHEN I was told to pack a couple of fleeces and a winter jacket, I reckoned they must have got my itinerary wrong.
I was heading to the Grand Canyon, after all, not the icy wastes of Alaska.
Arizona didn't strike me as a state that would be covered in a blanket of snow - not even in February.
But at the canyon, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, it was clearer why the woollies were needed.
