Mar. 22--General Motors Corp. suppliers in Indiana are bracing for more pressure to cut costs as the automaker trims output in the face of declining truck sales.

Industry analysts say the cuts are warning signs that GM this year could try to carve out deeper savings by negotiating assembly-plant closings and health care concessions for its 1.2 million employees, retirees and their dependents.

After spinning off much of its Indiana auto parts empire in the 1990s and slashing production costs, GM avoided the wrenching plant closings that hit Chrysler Group and Ford Motor Co. this decade.
