How sweet - or sweep - it is for Geneva.
For the first time since "sometime in the 80s," according to coach Tim Pease, the Vikings completed a season sweep of Batavia, beating the Bulldogs 86-77 in a Suburban Prairie North Conference shootout Friday in Geneva.
Combine that with a 14-12 victory in football and it's safe to say bragging rights have changed hands for the first time in many, many years.
"(To be) 3-0 right now is something special," said Geneva senior point guard Alex Pokorny.
