This year Olivia Fox, human-resources coordinator for Jatco USA Inc., expects that her company will budget raises for its 65 employees of about 3 percent-4 percent, which is about the same as most local employers expected to budget this year, according to the American Society of Employers.
While Fox wishes her company could do more, the sluggish automotive industry has kept the brakes on Jatco's salaries, as well as the salaries of the majority of companies in Southeast Michigan.
Wixom-based Jatco, which is part of Fuji, Japan-based Jatco Ltd., usually rolls out its raises in April, Fox said.
