IN A BID TO boost its competitiveness in the U.S. market, Alhambra, one of Spain's largest guitar manufacturers, has started a U.S. distribution company in Asheville, North Carolina. Geoff Ferdon, an avid guitar enthusiast with years of sales and marketing experience, will head the new company. "Our goal is to get closer to the market and provide more competitive prices and better service to our customers," remarked Jorge Julia, Manufacturas Alhambra director of international development.
