LOOKING TO PUT increasing emphasis on its Italian heritage, Viscount US has announced a major development of its digital piano collection. Introduced at the Winter NAMM show, the Galileo name will be used for a unique, one-of-a-kind digital piano line that is being crafted in the original Viscount accordion factory (first constructed in the late 1800s). The 20,000-square-foot factory was completely renovated in 2004 and converted into a modem-day workshop. The factory now houses a team of skilled artisans who hand-carve and mold ornate wood inlays and unique cabinet designs.
