Officials at Athens International Airport (ATH) are anxious for more airlines to adopt Common Use Self Service (CUSS) kiosks as a result of the contribution these have made towards reducing congestion at the airport since they were introduced last summer for the 2004 Olympic Games.
The Athens Games came exactly 20 years after SITA implemented the world's first-ever common use solution--Common Use Terminal Equipment, or CUTE--in time for the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 1984.
