Once while visiting my relatives in Orlando, I saw a TV commercial entitled, "Tires ain't pretty." Sam Baer, featured in the commercial, was funny and entertaining--and captured a common attitude about tires.
They may not be pretty, but tires are an important production asset. Jack Dutcher, manager of education/development for Bridgestone Firestone Off Road Tire Co., says, "With proper selection and regular maintenance, tires can play an important role in minimizing costs while maximizing production."
