Mar. 24--He probably couldn't have picked a better time to be chairman of Central Atlanta Progress, the downtown business organization.
Phil Kent, chairman and chief executive of Turner Broadcasting System, will become chairman at CAP's annual meeting next Wednesday, succeeding Scott Wilfong, president of SunTrust-Atlanta.
If all goes according to plan during Kent's two-year term, at least two major attractions will open downtown -- the Georgia Aquarium and the new World of Coke.
The importance is not lost on Kent, a connoisseur of cities who has been busy ramping up Turner's civic commitments.
