The knowledge economy is here to stay. This, according to the DTI's five-year programme, `Creating Wealth from Knowledge', published in 2005, is a fact that UK businesses need to grasp fast. Rebekah Ashby talks to Tracey Urwin, executive director of support group Service Network.
In basic terms the knowledge economy differs from the traditional economy in three ways.
Firstly, it places an emphasis on knowledge and information to drive business opportunities forward, as opposed to finite resources or materials.
