William Shurr claims in New Poems of Emily Dickinson to have discovered 498 "short epigrams and longer lyrics excavated from Dickinson's correspondence but not previously presented in poetic form," to quote the note in the Emily Dickinson International Society Bulletin for May/June 1993. "These poems," Shurr avers here and in many of the media, including newspapers and radio, "use her preferred hymn or ballad meters and unusual rhymes."
