LAS VEGAS, NEV. -- The Sale Feed/ Sale Food program developed by the American Feed Industry Assn. (AFIA) has 50 charter members, 15 of which have already completed the program at one or more facilities (Tables 1 and 2), AFIA announced at its recent Purchasing & Ingredient Suppliers Conference.
AFIA president Joel Newman said the Sale Feed/Safe Food program "is the number-one priority for our industry."
He said the program has gained momentum, and all segments of the feed chain--not just feed manufacturers--have shown a lot of interest. It is appropriate for all sectors, he said, and suppliers, distributors, livestock producers and integrators have all ...
