MUSIC buffs know that A Child Of Our Time is an oratorio by English composer Sir Michael Tippett. This year is the 100th anniversary of his birth, so his work is in the limelight just now.
But for hundreds of young people in the north-west of England, A Child Of Our Time means much more in 2005. They know it as a huge music-based project which is seeing children from all backgrounds and all sorts of schools working and having fun together.
Hearing and vision-impaired children, as well as sighted and hearing children, are all learning from and helping each other using the language of music.
So Sir Michael's title ...
