The days of a cut and a cold brew are over at a Sun Prairie hair salon.
Sun Prairie police told the owners of Shear Sports on Monday to stop offering patrons a free beer with their haircuts. There'll be no more wine for clients of their women's salon next-door, Hairadise, either.
It's a violation of state statutes to drink alcoholic beverages at a business without an appropriate liquor license, Sun Prairie City Clerk Diane Hermann-Brown said.
"You have to be a licensed premise to dispense alcohol," she said. "And according to state statutes, no hair salon can be a licensed premise."
