Hungary moves up in EIU's business environment rankings
Budapest. March 30. INTERFAX-EUROPE - Hungary has advanced two spots to 25th place in the latest business environment rankings from the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), relating to the 2005-09 period.
Compared to the previous ranking for 2000-04, Hungary improved its score by 0.62 points to 7.36, and beats two EU-15 countries, coming in ahead of Greece and overtaking Italy. Hungary placed 15th overall among the EU-25, scoring second highest among new EU members behind the Czech Republic, which placed 24th after advancing five spots.
