Sonya Kitchell hears it over and over. She's tired of talking about it. But there's no avoiding the subject: She just doesn't sound her age.
In her short career as a singer-songwriter, Kitchell has won frequent comparisons to Norah Jones, Joni Mitchell, Natalie Merchant and Carole King.
She has a new six-song EP, "Cold Day," on Velour Records, recorded with producer Steve Addabbo, known for his work with Suzanne Vega and Shawn Colvin. Work on a full-length followup for early summer release is under way.
