UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Universal Pictures has acquired worldwide distribution rights to Alphaville Productions' "Hard Target," a suspense and adventure thriller directed by critically acclaimed Hong Kong action director John Woo ("The Killer") and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Yancy Butler, Lance Henriksen and Wilford Brimley, it was announced today by Tom Pollock, chairman of the MCA Motion Picture Group, and Casey Silver, president of production for Universal Pictures.
