The ID Top SO broadliners grew 9.5% in sales volume in 2004, reaching $73.1 billion, slightly more than double the growth rate for the entire foodservice distribution industry. Forty-nine distributorships registered revenue gains last year, while one company saw a decrease in sales volume, reported ID Access.
There were five newcomers to the list: Costa Fruit & Produce Co., Pocono Produce Co., Sutherland's Foodservice, Inc., Appert's Foodservice, and Jacmar Foodservice Distribution.
