Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-NC) testified on the value of school nutrition programs at a Senate Agriculture Committee on Mar. 15, and was followed by a panel comprised of four members of the School Nutrition Association (SNA), formerly the American School Food Service Association.
Chairman Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) opened the hearing with a brief remark thanking the members of the School Nutrition Association for the work they do in feeding schoolchildren and ensuring that children are sufficiently equipped to learn according to summary provided by Food Institute counsel, Olsson, Frank & Weeda, P.C.
