The La Jolla Institute for Allergy & Immunology and its corporate partner, Gemini Science, recently broke ground on a 145,000-square-foot research center at UC San Diego.
The idea behind the center is to bring together scientists working at the institute, Gemini Science (the U.S.-based pharmaceutical unit of Japanese beer producer Kirin Brewery Co.), and immunology experts at UCSD.
