Husco International, a Waukesha company whose hydraulic controls are used in heavy machinery, plans to hire 60 employees in the next year, many of them for its Whitewater plant, about 45 miles southeast of Madison.
Backhoes made by John Deere will incorporate Husco's Incova technology. Production begins on a limited basis later this year and will go full scale in 2006.
Incova, short for "intelligent control valves," is a new type of hydraulic system used to move parts on heavy equipment, marketing director Chris Kolbe said.
