Spence Petros and I told him we were writing columns about him again, and we were both going to bust his chops a bit, only because we really like the guy.
Darrell Baker is a full-time high school science teacher at Waukegan and a part-time fishing and hunting guide.
The first time I stepped into his boat with Daily Herald photo chief Mike Seeling, I thought I had entered "The Twilight Zone."
I have fished and hunted with so many guides around North America that I've lost count and have forgotten names and locales. But this guy is someone I'll never forget.
He plies the Fox Chain in an old, beat-up Tracker ...
