Apr. 1--The memory of R&B music legend Ray Charles will live on in a museum to be built on the site of his recording studio and offices in South Los Angeles, organizers said Thursday.
The 18,000 square feet of galleries and classrooms will be housed in the existing RPM building designed by Charles and longtime manager Joe Adams, a retro architectural gem at 2107 W. Washington Blvd. in a neighborhood of small businesses and large homes, many of those in disrepair.
