Director Robert Rodriguez wants to drag us into a back alley and rub our faces in corruption, and that's just what he does in Sin City, a major helping of film-noir nastiness based on a series of graphic novels.
Sin City wanders streets that are dark, cruel and brimming with vice - and if you have a taste for this sort of thing, it's difficult to imagine how it could be done any better.
