We would like to clarify your editorial endorsement of Mike Welling for District 12 representative, specifically regarding your characterization of his involvement with the Northside Planning Council and Northside issues.
The Northside Planning Council is made up of 18 members and six alternates representing 17 Northside neighborhood associations and community organizations. Welling served as alternate representing one of those neighborhood associations, attended a total of six meetings and was involved with one committee on an embarrassingly unsuccessful fundraising event, largely due to his lack of follow-through.
