Village Trustee William Swalwell and challenger Jeff Magnussen are running for Hampshire village president. The Daily Herald sent each candidate a questionnaire asking them about some of the important issues in their town. Here are their responses.
Q. Why are you running for this office? Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what? What will be your main priority?
Jeffrey Magnussen. I'm running because I know I can lead the village in what will be the most important four years in its recent history. What motivates me is my love of Hampshire. It's the only place my four kids have ever known as home. I know the village is going to grow. ...
