SYDNEY, Australia, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Arnotts Limited issued the following on Jan. 29:
Arnotts Limited this afternoon lodged a submission with the Australian Securities Commission requesting that Campbell Soup should be required to allow shareholders to withdraw their acceptance of Campbell Soup's offer. This follows Campbell Soup's failure to secure acceptances for more than 14 percent of Arnotts' shares.
Schroders Australia, Arnotts' adviser, said: "We have today been contacted by shareholders who consider they were misled into accepting Campbell Soup's offer. They have asked us how they can withdraw their acceptance of the offer.
