IN THE OPENING scene of the controversial movie "Sin City,'' Josh Hartnett approaches a stunning woman in a red evening gown on a city balcony outside a party. Everything in the scene is black and white except her red gown.
"She shivers in the wind like the last leaf on a dying tree,'' he informs us. "I let her hear my footsteps. She only goes stiff for a moment. The wind rises electric. She's soft and warm and almost weightless. Her perfume, a sweet promise that brings tears to my eyes.''
