AIMANABAD April 01-(PPI): National program officer of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Dr Akhtar Ali Chaudhry has said that the number of Tuberculosis patients is increasing in the Punjab province. Expressing his concern over this rise Dr Akhtar said that mainly the residents of the congested localities falling victims to this disease. He told this news agency that presently over 100,000 thousand patients are suffering from tuberculosis only in Punjab. Dr Akhtar said that the WHO formulated a comprehensive program to counter the situation and to lessen the number of these tuberculosis patients. He said that according to this program from ...
