Whedon visits 'Wonder' land.(Joss Whedon to direct and write Warner Bros. and Silver Pictures' Wonder Woman)(Brief Article)

HOLLYWOOD -- Warner Bros. and Silver Pictures have found their man for "Wonder Woman," tapping "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" creator Joss Whedon to write and direct.

Joel Silver and Leonard Goldberg will produce pic; the live-action feature, based on the DC Comics character created by William Moulton Marston, has no start date yet.

Whedon created and exec produced "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," which ran for seven seasons on the WB and UPN, based on his screenplay for the 1992 feature film of the same name.
