The National Heart Foundation has appointed former Counties Manukau District Health Board (DHB) cardiac nurse Stephanie Muncaster (right) as its national cardiac rehabilitation coordinator. This position focuses on both inpatient (phase 1) and outpatient (phase 2) care, up to 12 weeks after a cardiac event. Improving access to cardiac rehabilitation is a key role for the Heart Foundation.
Muncaster's main role this year is to represent the Heart Foundation on the development of the Heart Guide Aotearoa project, an innovative approach to home-based cardiac rehabilitation. This has been developed over the past year in partnership with Te Hotu Manawa Maori, the ...
