The brisk pace of patrol boat construction showed no signs of slowing over the past year, nor do many expect it to lose momentum during the coming year.

"It's looking good," said Jimmy Sorenson, project manager at Silver Ships/Ambar Marine, Theodore, Ala. Sorenson added that he expects the market to remain strong at least through the next year.
Good, however, is an understatement. There are literally hundreds of patrol boats either under construction or waiting to be built.
