Landscaping, irrigation and plumbing practices face changes in light of new Best Management Practices recently adopted for Texas.
Water management has become a critical issue throughout most of Texas over the past several years. The issue is particularly compelling in the western portion of the state, where a growing population and general drought conditions over the past dozen years have depleted ground water aquifers. Neither is the eastern portion of Texas, which has experienced one of the wettest years on record in 2004, immune to water concerns.
