About 224 upscale condominiums and 120 townhouses could become a part of Florence if the city agrees to annex property off Hopeful Church Road in unincorporated Boone County.
The development, tentatively called Three Fountains, would be on 33.8 acres across from Surfwood Drive, and next to Florence Church of God.
The Anhofer family owns the property.
Florence City Council agreed at its caucus Tuesday to hold a first reading of the annexation at its regular meeting next Tuesday.
