WHAT'S THE BIGGEST GAME I ever played? That's easy. It was the one-game playoff against the Red Sox at Fenway Park in 1978.

That was my first season with the Yankees, and we never expected to be in that situation. We were 14 games behind the Red Sox in August. Who could have guessed the season would end with a one-game playoff? To play 162 games and have identical records and go into Fenway with everything riding on one game almost didn't seem fair to the losing team.
