SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- In 2003, the City of Santa Monica obtained a landmark settlement, valued at more than $300 million, in a drinking water pollution case it filed against more than a dozen oil companies. The City was represented in the case by its nationally recognized outside attorneys, but has chosen not to pay them. Marshall B.
